Strive for Paradise

In Animal Farm when the animals plan on overthrowing the human running their farm they want to create a utopia. Their main goal was to create a place where all of the animals could live happily and peacefully. All of them would work together and share everything. Nothing would be owned by just one animal, everything would be for community. The goal is to have everyone work equally and gain the same benefits.

At first after the owner of the farm was overthrown the animals placed 7rules or commandments.

1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
3. No animal shall wear clothes.
4. No animal shall sleep in a bed.
5. No animal shall drink alcohol.
6. No animal shall kill any other animal.
7. All animals are equal.

These 7 commandments were put in place to help them remember why they over through the owner; this was to help strive for paradise.

If these rules had been followed would they have reached their utopia or would it still have become corrupt?
I don’t believe that even if these commandments were followed that they would have reached utopia. I think that even if Napoleon had not taken complete control over the farm and become “president” that some other animal would have stepped forward at some point to “help” for the better of the farm and animals.  Utopia can never be reached because corruption is always in the way. No matter how hard you try someone will be greedy.
